The shed located by the doc has fishing poles, beach toys, floats, cornhole, etc. Please feel free to use any of these items. Please make sure you return them all back at the end of your stay so that our other guests may enjoy them as well.
Please ensure any floating items like kayaks, paddles, or other recreational items are secured away from the water while not in use as they can easily blow away across the lake. There is a metal loop mounted to the rock at the beach with lines attached, you may use these to tie up any self draining kayaks at the beach and avoid having to pull them up to the beach. you should always pull canoes and kayaks that do not self drain and store them up side down so rain will not fill the inside while not in use.
The dock can accommodate up to a 30 ft boat on the right side (while facing the lake) of the dock and one or more PWCs or shallow draft boats (like a bass fishing boat) on the left side. You may also park smaller boats up to 20ft on the left side depending on the lake level.
The boat house can accommodate two 24 ft boats. Pease note that these slips are not included in the reservation however, if these are not in use, you are free to use them.
Below is a sketch showing the dock and general areas to look out for rocks when approaching or departing via boat. The best heading is to depart or arrive from or to the dock or boathouse in a parallel heading to the slips until deeper water of the cove where you can then change the direction toward the lake.
Arriving. When arriving from the lake, stay within the deeper channel of the cove (its closer to the opposite side of the cove than the house). Keep a heading parallel to the cove until you approach perpendicular orientation to the dock or boat house slip you are targeting. Change heading 90 degrees and approach dock or boat house slip in a parallel orientation.
Departing. You will depart in an exact opposite manner than arriving.
