There are 4 coffee/beverage makers:

The built in Miele beverage machine is located to the right of the main kitchen stove. The machine has an LED screen with built in tutorial on operation and maintenance procedures. The machine requires that the door face (that open at right corner and swings left toward oven) be opened frequently to add water and empty waste.

There are (4) frequent maintenance processes including fill coffee bean container, fill water container, empty waste container, and empty drip tray.

Other routine maintenance operations include descaling machine, degrease machine, clean milk pipework, and clean drip tray and contacts.

Once the water and whole coffee bean containers are full, basic operation (for coffee) is to turn on the machine (button is top left). Once this is done, the machine will initiate a warmup sequence that will heat the unit and run a short “rinse” routine to clean out the spigot. After the rinse cycle is complete, place a coffee cup under brew unit spigot. A message will display “select drink”. For regular coffee, you can select cup size by pressing the corresponding buttons to the right on the “on” button. Once this is done, the machine will grind, press and dispense coffee directly into the individual coffee cup. Keep in mind, that Italian serving sizes are much smaller than American, and the coffee is more robust. Please note that it is normal to have the coffee look “foamy” as the coffee is pressed similarly to how an espresso machine would process.
